As a Principal Software Engineer on the Core GenAI Platform team at Upstart, you will be instrumental in building the foundational infrastructure that democratizes generative AI across the company. This role involves providing technical leadership across multiple cross-functional teams, shaping the vision, architecture, and adoption strategy for a new GenAI platform accessible to both engineers and non-engineers. You will collaborate closely with engineering leaders, ML researchers, and product stakeholders to ensure the safe, efficient, and responsible scaling of Large Language Models (LLMs) across all business domains. This position extends beyond mere delivery; it's about establishing long-term direction, de-risking ambitious AI initiatives, and elevating technical excellence throughout the organization.
