Senior Director, Global Individual Philanthropy at Americares

The Senior Director, Global Individual Philanthropy at Americares will lead and grow the Northeast major gifts team, focusing on increasing revenue and strengthening the major gifts pipeline. This role involves building a robust portfolio of leadership gifts donors and prospective donors, driving an ambitious regional growth strategy to double revenue and reach 100 million people over the next five years. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive regional strategy, cultivating and managing major donor relationships, and securing significant gifts. This position requires a dynamic development professional with experience in closing multi-year six and seven-figure gifts, strong people leadership skills, and a proven track record of translating strategy into measurable results. Key responsibilities include managing and mentoring frontline fundraisers, fostering a high-performance, mission-driven culture, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure alignment and impact. The role also involves representing Americares regionally, increasing visibility through events and strategic partnerships, and actively modeling Americares' values and work culture. A key outcome in the first 90 days is to learn and live the Americares values, demonstrate understanding of the organization's programs and strategic priorities, and begin donor outreach. The Senior Director will also be responsible for establishing strong relationships with key donors and prospects, developing multi-year donor plans, and engaging regional board members in fundraising efforts.
