Associate VP, High Impact Philanthropy at Mercy Corps

The Associate VP, High Impact Philanthropy (HIP) at Mercy Corps is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving significant growth in private sector revenue. This individual will lead and manage a high-potential team focused on scaling private giving from major and principal individual donors across the US and UK. The role involves strategic planning, execution of fundraising initiatives, and cultivating relationships with high-net-worth individuals, family foundations, and major philanthropic partners. This position is crucial for diversifying Mercy Corps' revenue streams and supporting its global mission to alleviate suffering and poverty. The Associate VP will oversee a portfolio encompassing Principal Gifts ($250k+), Major Gifts ($10k+), Leadership Giving (high potential $5k+), and Planned Giving. Key to success in this role is the ability to develop and implement innovative philanthropy strategies, advise on revenue goals, conduct accurate forecasting, and establish performance indicators to ensure the team meets its targets. The leader will also inspire and coach frontline fundraisers, manage direct and indirect reports, and engage with Executive Leadership and Board members to cultivate and steward donors.
